The OverRuled: China Trade Controls Resource Center has been updated with the following actions:
- 08 May 2026 (OFAC):
The Department of State imposed sanctions on four entities based in the PRC and Iran, pursuant to EO 13949, for providing satellite imagery that enables Iran's military strikes against U.S. forces in the Middle East.
Concurrently, OFAC sanctioned over ten entities and individuals based in the United Arab Emirates, Iran, the PRC, Hong Kong, and Belarus, pursuant to EO 13382, that are enabling efforts by Iran's military to secure weapons, as well as raw materials with applications in Iran's unmanned aerial vehicle and ballistic missile programs.
These actions are in furtherance of President Trump's National Security Presidential Memorandum-2, which disrupt procurement efforts supporting Iran's military programs and represent the United States' ongoing commitment to supporting the reimposition of United Nations restrictive measures and sanctions on Iran.
