The OverRuled: China Trade Controls Resource Center has been updated with the following actions:
- 12 Jun 2023 (BIS):
BIS added 31 entities to the Entity List under destination of the PRC for acting contrary to U.S. national security or foreign policy interests. 30 of these entities were added with no footnote designation; one was added with a footnote 4 designation. The entities with no footnote designations were added for:
- Providing training to PRC military pilots using Western and NATO sources;
- Acquiring and attempting to acquire U.S.-origin items in support of the PRC’s military modernization, with demonstrable ties to hypersonic weapons development, design and manufacture of air-to-air missiles, hypersonic flight modeling, and weapon lifecycle management using Western software;
- Being implicated in a conspiracy to violate U.S. export laws and regulations, including a scheme to supply the People’s Liberation Army – Navy with U.S. military grade vessels and equipment;
- Procuring and supplying items subject to the EAR that enable the PRC government to carry out human rights abuses against individuals, including in Xinjiang; and
- Contributing to Pakistan's ballistic missile program or advanced conventional weapons and strategic weapons capabilities.
