The OverRuled: Russia Trade Controls Resource Center has been updated with the following actions:

  • 16 Jun 2026 (UK):

    The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office ("FCDO") designated 11 individuals and 32 entities, pursuant to the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (the "Russia Regulations"). In addition, the FCDO also imposed shipping sanctions targeting 27 vessels that form part of Russia's "shadow fleet", which have been involved in the transportation of Russian oil and liquefied natural gas ("LNG") to third countries.

  • 15 Jun 2026 (EU):

    The Council of the European Union (the "Council") designated nine individuals and 45 entities, pursuant to Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1361 and Council Decision (CFSP) 2026/1364. In addition, the Council has issued a new derogation in respect of Yangzhou Yangjie Electronic Technology Co., Ltd ("Yangzhou Yangjie"), a leading Chinese manufacturer specializing in semiconductor devices used in various industries, including automotive, new energy, and consumer electronics, to provide EU operators with sufficient time to diversify their supply chains, wind-down operations, contracts, and other agreements for industry purchases of critical components manufactured by that entity, pursuant to Council Regulation (EU) 2026/1336 and Council Decision (CFSP) 2026/1333.

  • 12 Jun 2026 (UK):

    ​The Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation ("OFSI") issued General Licence INT/2026/9559192 ("GL INT/2026/9559192" or "GL"), pursuant to the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (the "Russia Regulations"). Capitalized terms not otherwise defined in this entry shall have the meanings given to such terms in the GL.

  • 11 Jun 2026 (UK):

    The Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation ("OFSI") added eight FAQs (FAQs 188 to 195) to the UK Financial Sanctions FAQs, which seek to provide guidance to the insurance, financial services, and maritime sectors on how UK financial sanctions apply to PJSC Transneft ("Transneft") and associated activities, pursuant to the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (the "Russia Regulations").
