- 27 Jun 2023 (OFAC):
On June 27, 2023, The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) designated four entities and one individual pursuant to Executive Order 14024 that are connected to Russian paramilitary group PMC Wagner (“Wagner Group”) and its owner and founder, Yevgeniy Prigozhin. According to the Department of the Treasury’s press release, the four designated entities, which are located in the Central African Republic, the United Arab Emirates, and Russia, have helped fund the Wagner Group’s armed forces, including those in Ukraine, while the designated individual “has been central to activities of Wagner group units in Mali.” OFAC and the U.S. Department of State have previously designated both the Wagner Group and Prigozhin under multiple sanctions authorities.

On June 27, 2023, the U.S. Departments of State, the Treasury, Commerce, Homeland Security, Labor, and the United States Agency for International Development issued an Africa Gold Advisory that highlights certain risks presented by the gold trade in sub-Saharan Africa, including risks related to conflict and terror financing, money laundering, sanctions evasion, human rights and labor abuses, and environmental degradation. The Africa Gold Advisory also encourages industry participants to adopt and strengthen enhanced due diligence practices in order to “reduce risks and increase responsible opportunities associated with the gold industry in sub-Saharan Africa.”
- 26 Jun 2023 (Russia - Countermeasures):
The Russian “oil price cap countermeasures” previously established until July 1, 2023 will now apply until the end of 2023.
- 24 Jun 2023 (Ukraine):

Ukraine strengthened the protection of Ukraine's cultural and information space from Russian propaganda.
- 23 Jun 2023 (EU):
On June 23, 2023, the EU adopted its 11th package of sanctions against Russia for its continued illegal war against Ukraine. The new measures involve additional provisions on trade, transport measures, energy measures, additional listings, further clarifications, circumvention, and more. With the exception of the new designations, which entered into force upon publication, the new sanctions came into force on June 24, 2023.
