The OverRuled: Russia Trade Controls Resource Center has been updated with the following actions:
- 29 Jul 2025 (BIS):
The Bureau of Industry and Security ("BIS") assessed against Andritz, Inc. ("Andritz") a civil monetary penalty in the amount of $1,577,397.18 for 36 unauthorized reexports to Russia of EAR99 U.S.-origin refiner plates classified under Harmonized Tariff Schedule ("HTS") code 8439.91.00. Refiner plates are used in the refining process of paper pulp-making machines.
- 23 Jul 2025 (EU):
The European Commission (the "Commission") updated its FAQs on the implementation of the EU's sanctions targeting Russia. As part of these updates, the EU has amended certain FAQs and issued a new FAQ in respect of 'Enhanced Due Diligence for Operators Manufacturing and/or Trading with CHP Items' (related to Article 12gb of Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 (the "Regulation")).
- 23 Jul 2025 (EU):
The European Commission (the "Commission") updated its FAQs on the implementation of the EU's sanctions targeting Russia. As part of these updates, the EU has introduced new FAQs in respect of 'Import, Purchase & Transfer of Listed Goods' (related to Article 3g, 3i, and 3o of Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 (the "Regulation")).
