The Lawyer Cites Two Akin Gump Transactions in Special Report on Q3 Offshore Deals

(London) – The Lawyer has recognized two Akin Gump deals in the publication’s “Special report: Offshore deals, Q3 2015.”

In the first deal, Akin Gump advised investment firm SVP Global in a debt-for-equity swap by Cory Environmental. Financial restructuring partners James Roome and Liz Osborne and associate Lois Deasey worked on the matter in which lenders to the waste management company took control of the company in a £353 million debt-for-equity swap.

The second deal involved a $900 million loan facility for Perfect World Co. to finance its management buyout and privatization. Cross-border transactions partner Gregory Puff advised Duff & Phelps, the financial advisor to Perfect World.
