Thomas Yang, Brennan Meier Among Texas Legal Award Winners

(Dallas) Akin Gump is pleased to share that two of its lawyers were announced as winners at the Texas Legal Awards sponsored by Texas Lawyer. The awards event will be held in Dallas in September.
Corporate partner Thomas Yang was recognized in the category Most Effective Dealmakers, and litigation partner Brennan Meier was recognized in the category On the Rise.
Earlier this year, Mr. Yang was a finalist for Dealmaker of the Year for his work in the $21 billion acquisition by client 7-Eleven of leading convenience store chain Speedway, a transaction named Deal of the Year ($1+ billion) at D CEO’s Mergers & Acquisitions Awards (learn more here).
Mr. Meier is a new partner, having been promoted to the partnership in January of this year (learn more here).
