- Experienced in advising international clients on U.S. tax considerations for cross-border operations.
Juan works with investment managers, including private equity firms, and executives on all aspects of executive compensation and benefits. He helps public and private companies in developing and executing strategic equity compensation schemes for their staff and partners.
Juan counsels clients on the tax considerations of cross-border investments and M&A transactions, including federal and international tax aspects such as the applications of Section 409A and Section 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.
Prior to joining Akin, Juan was a tax and executive compensation associate at another firm. He holds a Tax LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center and a J.D. from Emory School of Law.
