- Focuses on corporate transactions.
Rafita is an associate in the firm’s corporate practice. She assists public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Akin Gump, Rafita interned with another law firm in New York.
Rafita earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she served as the Senior Notes Editor for the Fordham International Law Journal and as an editor on the Fordham Law Moot Court Board.
Rafita is also the recipient of the Westin Scholar Award, conferred by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
