Akin Gump Advises Halyard Capital in StratEx Acquisition

(New York) – Halyard Capital today announced the acquisition of an ownership interest in Strategy Execution Partners, LLC and OAE Software, LLC (d/b/a StratEx) from its founders, who will retain significant equity ownership in the business and continue in their senior leadership roles. Akin Gump advised Halyard in the deal, for which financial terms were not disclosed.
As part of the transaction, Halyard is also providing expansion capital to the business to accelerate a number of StratEx’s growth initiatives. StratEx is a provider of HR software and services.
David D’Urso, a partner in Akin Gump’s corporate practice, led the team advising Halyard. He was joined by corporate associates Sarah Withers and Alyssa Pehmoeller, tax partner Lewis Kweit and intellectual property senior counsel Peter Emmi.
