Niki represents clients in a wide range of corporate transactions, with a focus on complex mergers and acquisitions. Niki’s transaction experience covers a variety of industries, including defense and security, hospitality, manufacturing, mining and technology.
Prior to joining Akin, Niki was an attorney at a leading law firm in Toronto, Canada, where she advised clients on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions. She also completed a secondment at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
Niki earned her J.D. from the University of Toronto, where she served as an editor on the Law Review, and her M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge, where she was a member of the Cambridge Union. She also received a certificate in transnational legal studies from the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London, England.

- Issuers and underwriters in connection with numerous initial public offerings and follow-on equity and debt offerings on the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange.
Mergers and Acquisitions
- Newmont Corporation in its $10 billion acquisition of Goldcorp.
- Onex Group in its $5 billion (Canadian) acquisition of WestJet Airlines.
