(New York and Dallas) – A cross-office team from Akin Gump represented The Jefferson Energy Companies, a subsidiary of Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors LLC, in a $425 million public-private-partnership (PPP) financing undertaken with The Port of Beaumont Water Navigation District of Jefferson County, Texas. 

The $425 million debt issuance closed on August 18, 2021 and consisted of $225 million of tax-exempt bonds and $200 million of taxable bonds.
