AIPN Deal of the Year: Akin Gump Advises DEA Deutsche Erdoel in Acquisition of Sierra Oil & Gas

(Houston) – DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG’s acquisition of Sierra Oil & Gas, in which Akin Gump advised DEA, has been named by the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) as its Deal of the Year.
The Deal of the Year award recognizes an outstanding and noteworthy M&A transaction from the previous calendar year. The landmark DEA-Sierra deal was the largest upstream M&A transaction in Mexico since its 2013 liberalization of the petroleum sector (click here to learn more).
