Alen is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice.

Prior to joining Akin, Alen clerked for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Austin, TX. He interned with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Washington, DC and Fort Worth, Texas, and worked as a financial services assurance associate at a leading accounting firm in Dallas, TX. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Texas.

Alen holds a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where he served as a staff editor for the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. He also holds an M.S. in accounting and a B.S. in accounting with a minor in political science from the University of Texas at Dallas, where he graduated magna cum laude.
