- Advises private fund sponsors on a wide range of investment management matters.
- Advises institutional investors on investments in private funds across sectors, including private equity, real estate and infrastructure.

Andrew advises private fund sponsors on matters involving the formation, fundraising and ongoing operation of a wide range of private equity (PE) funds and hedge funds, as well as managed accounts and customized investment solutions. He also advises investors in private funds, regularly counseling sovereign wealth funds and others on various aspects of their investment programs, including participation in funds and co-investments. In addition, Andrew spent time on a client secondment at a prominent sovereign wealth fund.
Prior to joining Akin, Andrew was a managing associate in the Chicago office of another leading international law firm. He graduated cum laude from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where he was an editor of the Northwestern University Law Review and a recipient of the John Henry Wigmore Scholarship. Andrew earned his B.A., with distinction, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a double major in English literature and philosophy.
- Advised a leading Indian PE manager on a “one and done” fundraising for a $1.7 billion PE fund which, at the time, was the largest such fundraise by a local manager.
- Advised a Singapore-based asset manager on the formation and operation of its inaugural PE fund, with total commitments of over $1 billion.
- Advised on the launch of a new United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based alternative investment firm with billions in assets under management.
- Advised a leading global asset manager on a joint venture to expand its credit business to South Korea.
- Advised one of India’s leading mid-market PE managers on the launch of its fourth flagship PE fund, raising $475 million in total.
