- Advises U.S. and international clients on various international trade law matters, including U.S. economic sanctions and export controls.
Katherine is an associate in the international trade practice. Based out of our Los Angeles office, she supports west coast clients on export controls and sanctions matters across different sectors, including technology and defense. Her work encompasses compliance matters and export controls and sanctions investigations.
Prior to joining the firm, Katherine clerked for Chief Justice Faustin Ntezilyayo on the Rwandan Supreme Court and served as an extern in the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Legal Advisor, where she supported matters involving international boundary waters, ITAR interpretation, economic sanctions, and law of armed conflict issues.
Katherine earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School, where she earned Pro Bono Distinction and served in editorial roles and on the Articles committees of the Stanford Law Review and Stanford Technology Law Review. She received her B.A. in Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law and Slavic Languages and Literature from the University of Virginia, graduating with high distinction.
