Menachem Danishefsky’s practice spans an array of tax matters primarily associated with the private investment fund space. These matters include fund formation, international tax, financial restructuring, strategic investments, private equity exits and royalty monetization.
Practice & Background
Mr. Danishefsky advises both sponsors and limited partners on the tax aspects of investment structures. His clients include a number of sovereign wealth funds and sovereign wealth-related platforms. He assists clients in navigating specific and general tax concerns that arise in a number of industries, including:
- pharmaceutical royalty monetization
- entertainment investments and financing
- loan origination
- activist investors.
Mr. Danishefsky also provides tax advice in connection with financial restructuring and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Danishefsky received his LLB from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and his B.A. in mathematics from Yeshiva University. Prior to joining Akin Gump, he practiced Israeli tax law at a Tel Aviv-based law firm.
