Nicole is an associate in the firm’s telecom, media, and technology practice. She represents a range of clients in the telecommunications and technology industry, including wireless companies, media content and service providers, industry associations and investors.
Nicole assists clients on a variety of matters before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), including regulatory licensing, rulemaking and compliance. Additionally, Nicole has experience in conducting due diligence in transactions involving FCC-regulated entities, and assists clients with the FCC regulatory approval process in acquisitions of FCC licensees. Previously, Nicole served as a legislative advisor for NARAL Pro-Choice America, analyzing and lobbying on legislation at the federal and state levels, as well as on federal judicial nominations and executive branch appointments.
Nicole earned her J.D. cum laude from University of Michigan Law School, where she served as an executive editor for the Michigan Journal of Gender & Law. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in political science.
Nicole was a member of Akin's 2021 summer associate class.
