Biography
- Advises on domestic and cross-border financial restructurings.
Patrick is a member of the financial restructuring group. His experience involves advising a wide range of stakeholders on complex consensual and non-consensual cross-border restructurings and special situations transactions.
Representative Work
- Fortenova: Counsel to Fortenova Group, a food producer and retailer in Croatia and the surrounding region, on issues arising from the existence of sanctioned Russian debt and equity holders in its capital structure.
- DOF Subsea: Counsel to Nordic Trustee AS, acting on behalf of the DOF Subsea bondholders, in a restructuring of the financial indebtedness of DOF ASA and its subsidiaries.
- Noble group: Represented the Noble Group, a leading commodities trading business in Asia, with respect to the deleveraging and reorganisation of its TradingCo business resulting in a debt for equity swap of approximately $1bn of financial indebtedness, implemented by way of a share pledge enforcement.*
- DeepOcean: Represented the DeepOcean group with respect to its financial restructuring and wind down of its cable laying and trenching business, implemented by way of three parallel restructuring plans under Part 26A of the Companies Act 2006, including the first use of the cross-class cram-down mechanism under the legislation.*
- Galapagos: Represented the Galapagos group, a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers and cooling systems, with respect to the contentious financial restructuring of over €1 billion of financial indebtedness, implemented through an enforcement sale in Luxembourg.*
