Rachel Kurzweil advises a broad-based group of companies in the health care industry. She assists in matters related to Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, regulatory compliance as well as privacy matters, including with regard to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other state, federal and international statutes and regulations.
Prior to joining the firm, Rachel was a Legal Fellow at the AARP Foundation, where she conducted legal research and advised attorneys on Medicare, Medicaid, Affordable Care Act (ACA) and False Claims Act (FCA) issues such as coverage, reimbursements and eligibility.
Rachel also has experience analyzing administrative law questions regarding agency action concerning the Administrative Procedure Act with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
