Biography
  • Counsels clients on customs and import control laws.

Tebsy Paul advises U.S. and international clients in complying with a range of international trade laws and regulations.

Prior to joining Akin Gump, Tebsy worked as an attorney with the Office of Trade, Regulations and Rulings Directorate of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Her responsibilities included issuing binding rulings, advisory opinions and internal advice to importers and businesses regarding various entry of merchandise issues.

Tebsy received her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, where she served as a senior staff writer for the American University Business Law Review and was a Dean’s Fellow in the International and Comparative Legal Studies Department. During law school, she served as a law clerk at the Office of the Chief Counsel for Trade Enforcement and Compliance, U.S. Department of Commerce, where she worked on international trade remedy matters.
