Graham McCall focuses his practice in the areas of private fund formation, the regulation of investment advisers, and complex derivatives.  Mr. McCall is particularly well-versed in CFTC rules and regulations affecting commodity pool operators and commodity trading advisors, as well as other corporate clients who use futures, options and swaps.

Practice and Background

Prior to joining Akin Gump in 2018, Mr. McCall worked as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he counseled the firm’s trading desks and portfolio managers with respect to regulatory and documentation issues affecting derivatives.  Prior to working in-house, he was an associate in the derivatives regulatory and litigation group in the Washington, DC office of a large global law firm.  Mr. McCall began his legal career at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission where he worked on various Dodd-Frank rulemakings impacting the trading and market structure of derivatives.
