- Advises clients on the formation and ongoing operation of alternative investment funds.
- Counsels institutional investors in connection with their alternative investment activities.
Joey Lee focuses primarily on the structuring, formation and operation of alternative investment products.
Prior to joining Akin, Joey was an associate in the investment funds practice of a leading law firm based in Hong Kong. Her experience also includes working in the Investment Products Division of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).
Representative Work
- Advised clients on various types of retail funds, including UCITS, Hong Kong-domiciled unit trusts and mutual funds, ETFs, and mandatory provident fund schemes.*
- Advised clients on authorisation and post-authorisation applications for funds authorised by the SFC.*
